Steve Sumner has recently been appointed our new Principal Structural Engineer. Steve is  originally from Manchester and graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Masters Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering in 1989 and he became a Chartered Engineer in 1999, before first moving to Ireland in 2000.

Steve brings a practical blend of RC & Steel Design experience and construction knowledge gained from over 30 years experience in the Design-Build sector, in Ireland and the UK.

Steve and his family moved back to Ireland in 2014 and he has since worked on a number of flagship Design and Build projects including roles as the Structures Lead for the Osberstown WWTP Upgrade in County Kildare and the extension to Dinish Wharf in County Cork.

Steve’s hobbies and interests  include cycling, running and recreational guitar, bass & ukulele.

O’Reilly Concrete are very much looking forward to having Steve on board, bringing his extensive knowledge of the industry to our ever expanding technical design team.
